post-NLC ramblings.

Just got back from NLC today, after another incredibly long train journey.
Now that I've showered, have somewhat unpacked, cleaned up my e-mail inbox, got the contact lens for my left eye (it mysteriously vanished o_o) and have eaten something non-vegetarian, I've sat down with three open blogpost windows.
And I don't know what to write.
This conference has been really interesting and really weird for lots of reasons. I was so overworked and tired pre-conf that I left without having any expectations whatsoever, and I felt incredibly lost and confused for the first two days. I think sitting down in commission and planning sessions got me back on track; and long conversations with Saira, Sharmin and Nicole about how I felt. What I'm going to say is this: AIESEC Pakistan is my extended family - some of the members are the family support I never had; and I know that I can actually cry and laugh and make random jokes and bug them endlessly and they will still be there.
I love you guys =)

Nic thats a great idea, i know the karachi members would love to talk to any and all Curtin members, espeically you. We all miss you like crazy!
Saba: i dont know where to start. I'm thinkin of ur sugar cube and all i can say is that you're one of the three reasons im mcvp right now. i dont think ive ever cried as much as i did the past few days. cant tell u how much u being there for me through all the conference times meant to me. you know all of it, so im not going to elaborate. most of it is already on the extremely LONG sugar cube i wrote to u. u know where u can find me.

Cool idea Nic :) Will get a pair of headphones for the LC office so we can all get chatting rightaway :)
Seesawing from extremes - thats so aptly put. Will talk about this with you whenever I see you online. Thanks for our conversation that day.
Saira: If someone had told me a month ago that all of this would happen, I'd have laughed like crazy. I think the experiences of the past few weeks have changed so many things it isn't even funny. Thankyou for everything you've done for me. I love you babe, and I'm always here if you want to talk :)

Hey I just saw this post! For sure, the computer might well already be in the office... I haven't been able to get into the building the past 2 days, and will now have to wait till Monday to see.
I reckon an LC to LC conference call is in order :)

You and I definitely need to take it easy and pace ourselves. Compare your posting on January 28 to this one. We know that there are ups and downs in AIESEC (as in life) and that these are inevitable - but surely we can even things out a bit more right??
It's a long journey, even just thinking about our LCP terms ahead of us, it's a long time and things will happen. We can't allow ourselves to seesaw from one extreme to the other all the time.
On another note, if you've been keeping up on the Curtin community you would've seen that we're getting a new computer in our office - I'm gonna get the headphones and speakers hooked up so that all my members can talk to all your members ;) That'd be cool. It would be great to chat and discuss AIESEC and life. What do you reckon?
