I think as LCP there can be nothing more incredibly amazing than having the opportunity to run through planning output and leadership development with the PAI..
...and having him speak at a GBM.

Details and pictures on the AIESEC Karachi blog :)

I asked Brodie today what his biggest success in his term as PAI was - and he said his team - because they were all such fantastic people. And today, I know that there is noone else who I would have loved to share this experience with than the fantastic leadership team - Naveen, Rabia, Taha, Sharmeen and Haris - you guys are the best! I know - that with you guys - we can definitely turn this LC into one of the top LCs in the world, as Brodie said.

Have just got back home from a lovely dinner given by Junaid Iqbal :) Brodie got in town today and the entire day's just passed by in this blur - if I'm exhausted, I can only imagine how he feels! Quite an interesting bunch of people (Brodie, Tori, Junaid, Emad and Ahsan) at dinner tonight and quite interesting discussions - ranging from politics to the blame game to the mystery of the teapot (I'm sure Brodie will blog about that one!) and his fascination on hearing the story of Ahsan's Excel sheet for laundry ;)

Tomorrow is EB meeting and GBM - what fun to have the opportunity to have the PAI attend a general body meeting!

And in other news - its been a year since I've joined AIESEC - and while I've had my share of craziness - the next one year has me even more excited. 2006 - 2007: lets rock and roll baby!

Crazy times..

Thursday, April 20, 2006
Yesterday was one of those days when you just don't feel like doing anything at all. I wanted to go to class in my PJs - I felt that bad. (Considering I dress up to the hilt for school, thats a big deal :P) The day passed by in a blur of meetings, phone calls, email conversations that made no sense, writing and rewriting agendas and a ton of incomplete evaluations, topped off by the fact that I had an exam today that I was completely unprepared for.

Came home in an increasingly worsening mood - I just felt so demotivated that I went off to sleep after trying to make sense of my notes and in the midst of filling evaluations.

Woke up and realized had 20000 emails to send. Told myself to relax and all would be good. My exam went pretty well and I spent two straight hours writing emails, completing reports and evaluations and sending everything off. At the end of those two hours I came downstairs from the office and spent the next few hours laughing my head off with Rabia at the kaaayt joke - I laughed so hard my sides hurt. Went to Espresso with Sharmeen and drank heavenly coffee. Came back and met Deej - and laughed so much that I was about to fall down from my chair in the crowded lab. Went to Espresso again with my sister and ate (breakfast, lunch and dinner - all at 7 PM) and came home and finished the blasted SONA report.

The feeling of having completed all my work is just lovely. The next few days are going to be extremely hectic - but I am completely ready for it now.

And in other news - Brodie's in Pakistan and is arriving in Karachi tomorrow! YAY! :)

Transition is a funny word.

As a teenager, I didn't like people walking in and out of my life. I craved stability as a teenager because I never had any. But now as the MC 05-06 starts off transition and people begin arriving and leaving - it makes me wonder at how far I have come that I can actually accept change.

Yesterday, I welcomed Emad Nadim, MCP 06-07 to Karachi with Rahim and Mikaal, all of us sleepy eyed yet carrying garlands and an AIESEC stamp ;) and calling Tori constantly to ensure our surprise plan went off.

Tomorrow, Sharmin leaves.

Soon Tori and Delia will leave too.

I really don't feel like saying my goodbyes yet.

Thankyou to all of you - the people who I have met in the past one year while I have been in AIESEC Pakistan - for the amazing advice, the fun times, the support and encouragement, for everything that I want to say but can't because I find myself unable to sum up the last one year in words: Tori, Delia, Sharmin, Russell, Nic, Nicole, Dhanur, Amaan, Eva, Vaibhav, Meghna, Mel and Pia.

I hope to see all of you again, soon :)

I wish all of you - the people who will work in the next one year in this amazing country - the best of luck, may this year be the best year of your AIESEC career, may you achieve all your dreams and much, much more - Emad, Kurt, Joanna, Puneet, Cody and everyone else who comes here.

Here's to an amazing year :)
